Our KS2 trip to Exeter was an amazing experience! The children enhanced their historical knowledge at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum, where they were intrigued by its exhibits and enjoyed sketching their favourite artifacts. This brought history to life, allowing them to connect with the past in a tangible way and sparking their curiosity. They also participated in a geography survey, where they analysed the volume of traffic in a busy area compared to a quieter one. This valuable learning experience encouraged observational skills and critical thinking as they analysed real-world environments. Additionally, we visited a mosque which provided the children with a valuable opportunity to learn about the Islamic faith and its place of worship. Exposure to different cultures and religions promotes understanding and respect for diversity, helping our children learn about Islamic traditions while fostering a sense of tolerance.
Overall, this trip was an enriching experience that allowed for learning across various subjects, including history, RE, geography, and art. It played a crucial role in the children's personal development, helping them cultivate their understanding of the British values such as respect and tolerance. The insights gained from this trip will surely resonate with them as they continue to grow and learn.
