Home-learning for January 2021.
Welcome to week 3 of ‘Our past, present and future’.
The lessons during this time of online work will involve new learning rather than revising previous learning (which is what happened during the Spring 2020 lockdown). Therefore, we will be directly teaching the children during the online lessons for them to then complete the work that will be set via the Kestrel homework website page once they have accessed the lesson. Please note, that if they don’t join the online session, they will find the work considerably harder to complete. For this reason, can we please ask that you don’t get your child to jump ahead with the learning unless they are set a pre-session.
We would also like to emphasise, that whilst we provide a range of ‘lessons’, please complete what is manageable for you, your child and your household. We know that things are tough right now; we don’t want to add to that burden. We are available via email during usual school hours so if you have any queries or concerns please let us know.
If you are collecting packs from school, please ask your child which colour group they are in so that you know which pack to collect – red, green, light blue or dark blue.
Year 5 Pack:
Year 6 pack:
The Year 6 pack has been split into Light Blue and Dark Blue based on maths resources. Please ask your child which colour maths sheets they did last week in order to know which pack to print.
Every Year 6 child has a copy of ‘Edge Of Nowhere’ by John Smelcer . The plan is to host a book club during the next two weeks based on this text so please encourage your child to read it.
