Week Beginning 20th July
I just wanted to say a massive well done for getting through this very difficult time. I am so proud of all of you and I have loved receiving all the work you have been doing. There will be no work this week but please do continue having a go at the challenges. Have a lovely, well deserved summer holiday and I will see you all in September.

Games and links
Week Beginning 6th July
We will be looking at odd and even numbers this week. We will also be looking at splitting shapes and amounts into half/quarters.
Play some odd and even games on – https://www.topmarks.co.uk/learning-to-count/coconut-odd-or-even
We will be looking into story writing this week and writing our own story based on the picture of the troll.
We will be look at
-beginning, problem, resolution and ending.
I would like the focus this week to be on statistics. Your child will need some support with these worksheets. Please can you discuss tally charts with your child and how they can count in 5s to find the total.
Extension – using the template below, record your very own tally chart. You could do it on anything you like. If you would like an idea, counting the colour of cars that go past your window is a good one.
Task 1 – Write a prediction on what you think the story is about with the title “Fred’s Odd Pet”.
Task 2-4 – We will be going through Fred’s Odd Pet during our virtual lesson this week but feel free to complete the other 2 texts before.
Continue the writing booklet from last week.
