What a fantastic time Hawks Class had on their residential to the Eden Project (December 2018).
On the Thursday, we were ‘Rainforest Rangers’ and had to identify things in the biomes that could be used for food, shelter and to drink. It was amazing how many things we found and how versatile plants are!!
On Thursday evening, we went into the biome by night! All the general public had gone home and we were did a workshop called ‘The Secret Biome’. We played lots of different games, sketched the different plants, sang songs and certainly made lots and lots of noise!!
On Friday, the adults had planned a surprise for the children!! They took them to see Santa!! It was lovely to see all their excited faces! We had ‘elf training’ and got to write our wishes and put them on a train to the North Pole. The best part was seeing Santa who gave us a magical snowflake to keep! We also got given a chocolate each!
The whole residential was magical from start to finish. The children were an absolute delight and we were so proud of Year 2 and 3 for embracing all the challenges that were given to them.
